Not many posts lately eh?
It's because . . . . . er . . . . . erm . . . . . um.
Nope.
Short of "no time", I just haven't posted. And that it really. Sorry.
So what's been happening.
Dislocated my knee. Michelle sprained her ankle. Went to Longleat and didn't have a monkey destroy my car. Went to Drayton Manor and got soaked.
For the record, I like Drayton Manor. It's much less po-faced than Alton Towers.
Went to the cinema earlier today to see 1408.
Good film. A little 'by numbers', but not bad. And John Cusak is brilliant.
The best bit though was the commentary track.
I thought you only got these on DVD.
But no, you apparently get them at the cinema as well.
There where 18 people in there including me and Michelle. And a couple of 13 year old girls who huddled behind their coats and squealed and wittered and discussed what was going on and generally got on everybody's nerves. Yes not just me. People got up and moved.
At the end of the movie, as the credits started, I could hold back no more and calmly stood up, walked down the aisle to them, leaned over the back of the seat and said, and here I quote, "Thank you both. Your inane wittering increased my enjoyment of the film immeasurably. Thank you".
They didn't understand of course. I probably lost them at 'your', but I felt a lot better. A lot better.
Who said 'sarcasm is the lowest form of wit, but the highest form of intelligence'?
'Till the next time, have a good time, all the time.
